Fairy Queen Travel India

Fairy Queen hold the record of beeing the oldest working locomotive in the world. Its name was entered in Guiness Book of World Records on 13th Janouary 1998.

The Fairy Queen first started its journey in the year 1855 AD and continued to run till 1908 AD.in 1908, regular opertation of the train was discontinued due to some reasons.

Indian Railways took the initiative to start regular operation of the train once again in July1997.

The train runs as a 'Heritage Train' between Delhi and Alwar where the tourists are taken to the Sariksa Wildlife Sanctuary by luxury bus.

1 Night / 2 Days travel of the Fairy Queen begins at Delhi Cantonment Railway Station on every 2nd and 4th Saturdays from October to March.  

Day 01 - Saturday

1000 Hrs.: Departure From Delhi Cantonment Station.

1030 Hrs.: Light Snacks will be served on board.

1300 Hrs.: Lunch will be served on board.

1500 Hrs.: Light refreshments will be served on board.

1600 Hrs.: Arrival at Alwar Railway Station.

1620 Hrs.: Board the air-conditioned coach.

1730 Hrs.: Check in at Tiger Den Resort.

1930 Hrs.: Cultural Programs followed by Theme Dinner at the resort. overnight stay at the resort.

Day 02 - Sunday

0630 Hrs.: Take a jeep safari for Sariska Wildlife Sanctuary.

0930 Hrs.: Return from the sanctuary to have breakfast at the resort.

1200 Hrs.: Departure from Sariska by air-conditioned coach.

1245 Hrs.: Arrival at Alwar Railway Station.

1300 Hrs.: Board the Fairy Queen for departure from Alwar.

1330 Hrs.: Lunch will be served on board.

1600 Hrs.: Light refreshments will be served on board.

1845 Hrs.: Arrival at Delhi Cantonment Railway Station.
