Railway, reaching Goa by trains has become
much easier process.
Regular trains, which connect Margao
and Vasco Da Gama to main cities in India, run from
here. Apart from this the South Western Railway
, which was built in the colonial era operates
in Goa .
It connects Goa with the other major cities. This line was earlier meter
gauge but now has been converted to broad gauge.
Road Network of Goa :
Reaching Goa has two National Highways, NH17 which links Goa to Mumbai
and NH4A which links Goa to other cities of the peninsular India.
Road Network of Goa has in all 224 km of National highway, 232 km of state highway and 815 km of district highway, thus Road Network of Goa is quite well developed here.
There
are bus services by Goa, Maharashtra,
and Karnataka state transport corporations operating
from the Kadamba bus stand at Panaji. Moving around in Goa is not a problem
at all. One can easily find bus as well as car on hire.
