Tula Sankramana is a religious festival celebrated in Coorg or Kodagu district of Karnataka. :
This festival is celebrated in the month of October every year. People of Coorg wait the whole year for this festival to come.
As it is the belief of the people here, Goddess Cauvery appears on this day. It can be seen in the sudden rush of water in the small tank here , people consider this as darshan of the Goddess. This event is known as Theerthodbhava
On Tula Sankramana people of Coorg district throng the particular area and bathe in the auspicious waters of the tank. They also carry the holy water in bottles.
