Nagarahole National Park Karnataka was renamed as Rajiv Gandhi National Park
and it is one of the excellent habitats for Asiatic
Elephants.
The wildlife sanctuary derives its name from
the winding river Kabini, Nagerhole means Snake River.
Kabini is the largest river here and a dam has been
constructed on it with a picturesque reservoir in the
southern part of the park. This lake also serves as
a boundary from Bandipur National Park.
