Malayalam movie snehithan
Summary :
Kunchacko Boban is back in his strong hold - teenage love story - in the new release Snehithan . He plays the lead role of Joji , a hardworking photographer who happens to get into a situation where he has to help a girl, Malavika to find out her lover Anand and in turn acts as her husband. The movie tells the changes in Joji's life after he meets Malavika
Snehithan is yet another weak and undernourished love story , well deserve to be a flop .If at all there's any silver lining,is that of fairly hummable music of Mohan Sithara. It tells the story of two pair of lovers. Malavika(Nandana) who is in love with Anand(Krishna) and Joji(Kunchacko Boban) with Ann Marry alias Anu (Preethy Vijayakumar).
The story begins in a register office where Malavika (Nandana) waits for her lover Anand(Krishna) to come and register their marriage. She is accompanied by photographer Joji (Kunchako Boban) to cover the function. But when Anand does not turn up Malavika is forced to go with Joji. Taking sympathy on her, Joji helps her to get a hotel room, which leads to more trouble for them. Cops arrest them during a raid in the hotel and Joji's girlfriend Anu (Preetha Vijayakumar) comes to know about this. To make things worse Joji lies to the police that Malavka is his wife and they are let free. Malavika's parents come to know about their daughter's secret marriage and take the couple home creating more twist in the tale.
There is nothing remarkable in the film. Boban as Jijo is charming, while Krishna, Preethi Vijayakumar and the new girl Nandana are just ok. The highlight of the film are the songs written by Yusuf Ali Kechery set to tune by Mohan Sithara, though one of them is exact copy of A.R Rahman's 'Kannathil Muthamittal'. The film makes it clear that director Jose Thomas has to go a long way to become a successful movie maker.
