Vanam Biological Park , which was a conservation
project to restore degraded trees and plant life. You
can embark on a trekking tour to reach the top of the
Agasthyakoodam or Agastya
Malai as it is also known .It atkes two days
to reach the top which is 28km away. You can do trekking
here only between December-April. Agastya Malai
is also a pilgrimage destination , you get

Eight percent of the plant species found here is endemic to this region.
The best season for tourists to visit Agasthyakoodam for trekking is December to April. Forest Pass has be obtained from the WildlifeWarden, Forest Department, PTP Nagar, Thiruvananthapuram for trekking.
