History
Munnar tours - During the British rule of India , Munnar was developed to cultivate tea plants, it was also one of the favourite spots of the tourists for recreation. This flower which bathes the hills in blue every twelve years will bloom next in 2018 AD. Munnar also has the highest peak in south India, Anamudi, which towers over 2695 m. Anamudi is an ideal spot for trekking. confluence of three rivers Muthirapuzha River, Kundale and Nallthanni. Also in Tamil, Munnar (moon aar) literally means “Three River”.
