The endangered river Terrapin, Batagur baska is found on the Mechua Beach, while the Barking Deer is found only in Holiday Island in Sunderbans lizards, monitors, and numerous species of birds, most of which are migratory in nature in the Indian Wildlife Sanctuaries.
