The Alivelu Manga Sametha Shri Venkateswara Temple also known as Venkanna Babu Temple is famous for performing Child Marriages in the pre independence era.Due to this act Yanam was then known as "Kalyana Puram." The Swamy Idol of this temple with big mustaches was made during the 15th Century.His river called Gauthami Godavari is one of the branches of the main river Godavari. It enters the Bay of Bengal after crossing around 12 Kms.
The minimum capacity of the Panti can hold is 15 Tonnes. It supports the two wheelers, three wheelers as well as four wheelers excluding heavy vehicles.
Per trip, it carries roughly 200 passengers along with vehicles. The time of journey depends on the river flow. Generally, it takes 15 minutes to cross from one end to another.The Venkanna Ratham and Ratham are the two main festivals held in this temple.
There is also a beautiful Mosque in Yanam. Donated by the French Government in 1848, the mosque underwent several reconstructions.The large hall of the mosque accommodates around 200 people to perform their prayer. Ramzan, Bakrid, and Milad Nabi observe a grand celebration here.
Catholic Church of Yanam was built in 1846 by the French missionaries. The architecture resembles the European look.

By Rail: Yanam tours has no railway tracks. The nearest railway station is located at a distance of 26 kilometers from the main town, at Kakinada.
By Road: District road running through the west of Ramachandrapuram and Rajahmundry connected Yanam with other cities.
You can ply a number of buses tracking down from Kakinada to Yanam at short intervals.
